Biography

Anaïs's ballet training began at 10 with private coaching from a Vaganova Academy graduate. At 14, she became a full scholarship student at Ballet Hispanico. At 16, Anaïs auditioned for New York Ballet, and became their youngest soloist with roles specifically choreographed for her in Don Quixote and Les Sylphides. At 17, she graduated from Studio Maestro - New York City's premier ballet academy. A year later, Anaïs was made a soloist with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet Company, where she danced for two seasons.

While on a brief hiatus from ballet, Anaïs began to pursue acting. Despite enjoying some success, her heart always lay with dance, and she returned to ballet as an instructor in 2005. Since then Anaïs has been highly in demand both as an instructor and a choreographer.

Anaïs entered the tango scene in 2007. She was trained by Carlos Cañedo - founder of The Tango Company and danced with him for two years.

Contrary to popular belief, Anaïs really hates writing in third person.
